Our partnersAssociazione JonathanThe Jonathan – Indesit Company project is a model of social responsibility development in Europe. The project aims to help disadvantaged young people reintegrate in the community and the workplace by finding them employment in Indesit Company’s Carinaro and Teverola plants and in those in Le Marche. http://www.hophop.it/jonathan FAI At the end of 2007, FAI (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano), in collaboration with Indesit Company, presented an environmental awareness campaign entitled FAI LA TUA PARTE!, addressing primary and secondary schools through the medium of an interdisciplinary kit called Acqua&Energia. This is the first of a series of environmental awareness campaigns under the FAI LA TUA PARTE! banner and is involving eight cities: Ancona, Ascoli Piceno, Bergamo, Caserta, Milan, Rome, Turin and Treviso. Over 1,000 classes (>20% of the total envisaged) have already joined the project. www.faiscuola.it ChildLine Through its Hotpoint brand, Indesit Company support ChildLine, the UK's free 24hour helpline for children and young people in danger or distress. Every day, calls from around 2,300 children are answered by ChildLine. It costs ChildLine £3 to answer a call. So far Indesit Company and its employees have raised nearly £390,000 through sponsorship and various fundraising activities. www.childline.org.uk Turin's Politecnico Indesit Company and the "Politecnico di Torino" have entered a five-year agreement to carry out research in the fields of chemical engineering, advanced materials and energy for the purpose of developing innovative technologies and processes for the domestic appliances of the future. The agreement will be implemented in the new Business Research Centre, opened the 28th of March in the "Cittadella Politecnica", an industrial research facility that puts the know-how of the academic world in contact with the business community to create long-term relationships sharing the goals of innovation and development. Under the agreement, Indesit Company will also sponsor a new industrial chair, the Indesit Company Materials Science, at the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (DISMIC). www.polito.it |
