Andrea Merloni - Chairman.

Andrea Merloni is Chairman of Indesit Company, where he has served as Vice President since 2008 and as board member since 1996.

From 2005 to 2007 as a director of Indesit Company SpA he was in charge of "new business opportunities".

Within Indesit Company Group, from 2000 to 2007, he was chairman and CEO at WRAP SpA, a spin-off from Indesit Company SpA formed to develop the Company’s patents and know-how in the field of household appliance electronics.

In 1996 he bought the Benelli SpA brand and relaunched it in the scooter and large motorbike industry; he was its chairman and CEO till 2005.

From 1992 to 1996 he was chairman of Aermarche SpA, an air transport service company.

He is a director of Fineldo SpA (Vittorio Merloni’s family holding company), Merloni MP&S Srl and Evolve SpA.

He has been chairman of the Home Lab consortium since April 2011.

In October 2011 he was made chairman of Istao - Istituto Adriano Olivetti, an institute of economic and business management studies in Ancona.

Born in Rome in 1967, he is a graduate in "Political Sciences".
