2009 Good Design Award



With its Quadrio fridge-freezer, Indesit Company has won the 2009 Good Design Award, the prestigious prize established in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann Jr., for the best industrial design concepts as judged by the Chicago Athenaeum-Museum of Architecture and Design together with the European Centre for Architecture and Art Design and Urban Studies.


Quadrio, designed by Makio Hasuike, which re-interprets the concept of conserving food won the Good Design Award in the electro domestics section.


Quadrio brings together refined design, rich in details and particulars such as the metallic colours, rounded shape and stainless steel handles, with cutting-edge technology. Indeed, Quadrio's four doors guarantee perfectly conserved food, revealing an intelligent attitude to saving energy.
