2009 European Excellence Award
With its new corporate intranet, Insight, Indesit Company has won another European Excellence Award (for 2009), a prestigious international award promoted by the trade magazine “Communication Director”. At the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna, a panel of international communication experts proclaimed Insight the best design in the Intranet category on account of its capacity to engage employees, its efficacy and the concrete results obtained in terms of organization and operations.
Every year, the European Excellence Awards go to the best operators in the world of communication, singled out from over 1300 candidates, in a field ranging from internal communication to financial communication and corporate social responsibility. The aim is to highlight and consolidate progress made in the field in Europe and the rest of the world. Indesit Company is one of the very few Italian companies to have won a European Excellence Award. Winners at this edition also included multinationals Coca Cola, Mattel, Deutsche Telecom and Orange.
The new Insight portal (online since 1st July 2009) is now accessible by all the Group’s employees round the world. It’s an absolutely new working facility based on social networking principles and offers a wide choice of instruments for collaboration designed to foster new social dynamics in the professional environment. The new portal is the result of a strategic intersection of the other “Insights” in the main countries where the Group operates, a space that’s rich in innovative functions for open dialogue, and thus direct collaboration between users.
