Indesit Company acclaimed at ERT Industry Awards in the UK
The Moon washing machine is “Product of the Year” A victory for simplicity and design!
Fabriano, 10th October 2008 – A new international award for Indesit Company. The Moon washing machine, made by Indesit and designed by Giugiaro, won the White Goods Product of the Year title at the first ERT Industry Awards in the UK.
In its citation, the panel of experts mentioned the Moon’s innovative characteristics and design and underlined how “it has really simplified the concept of a washing machine without compromising its functionality. It is clear that the company focused on the essential, thereby producing a simple and at the same time innovative solution”.
Over 100 products had been entered for the Award, which is organized by the prestigious magazine ERT Weekly.
This ERT Product of the Year is the latest in a series of awards collected by the Indesit Moon. In 2007, it won the Grand Prix de l’Innovation and the Janus de l’Industrie from the Institut de Design in France, the Kitchen Product of the Year at the Designer Awards in the UK and the Zlota Villa award in Poland. In 2008, the Moon was given a Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum – Museum of Architecture and Design, and in the UK it won an Appliance Design Gold at the Excellence in Design Awards.
