Indesit Company wins innovation and design award a second time
The Institut Français du Design awarded the Janus de l’Industrie 2007 to Moon
Fabriano, 28th September 2007 – For the second year running Indesit Company has won the Janus de l’Industrie, the prestigious Institut Français du Design award for companies that achieve outstanding creative results in the field of industrial design.
Meeting in the splendid setting of the Palais du Luxembourg, seat of the Senate in Paris, a panel of 50 experts from the design, innovation and advertising sectors awarded the Janus to the Moon washing machine for its simplicity of design and its offering of solutions that combine innovation and immediacy. The jury appreciated Indesit Company ongoing commitment to making quality products that combine high level performance with admirable style

The Janus de l’Industrie was set up in 1953 by the Institut Français du Design under the auspices of the French economy, finance and industry Ministry. Projects are judged on the basis of fundamental design parameters such as ergonomics, aesthetics and qualitative performance in terms of design, usefulness and benefits for the end user.
Commitment to innovation as search for and creation of new ideas, and painstaking design represent a key factor for Indesit Company, recognized also by the numerous awards received in the years, including the Grand Prix de l’Innovation assigned to Moon at the beginning of 2007, the Ecohitech Award in 2006 for Aqualtis washing machine, the Plus X Award, the Home Innovation Award for technological innovation and respect for the environment for the Experience drawer fridge and oven, and the Best Technology Award for the 48cm oven.
